Al Biancospino

BOZOLUS-BOZZURUM… or rather BIANCOSPINO (Hawthorn), was the ancient name of the town of Bossolasco in the second century BC. Under Roman rule.

In the characteristic historic center of medieval times, in a carefully renovated 16th-century building, you’ll find the restaurant/wine bar "Al Biancospino": a cozy place with a dual personality, more rustic and spartan in the wine bar part, where you can enjoy a good glass of wine accompanied by typical Langhe cold cuts and cheeses or classic traditional dishes up to succulent Fassona burgers or the international club sandwich.

The restaurant part, on the other hand, features more elegant tables and comfortable armchairs, furnished in an understated and Eattial style. The kitchen transforms exceptional local products (mainly sourced from local farmers and producers) into modern, innovative, sometimes provocative but always expertly prepared dishes.

The menu also features fresh fish dishes, a hallmark of this restaurant. Every Friday, in fact, it transforms into a lounge bar where oysters, shell fish of various kinds and raw fish can be enjoyed, accompanied by splendid "Alta Langa" sparkling wine, and for those who wish to continue the themed evening, there is a rich a la carte menu with seafood proposals.

In fine weather, a pleasant terrace provides  outdoor dining, and  a leisurely stop to enjoy artisanal ice cream, an aperitif or a candlelight dinner, intoxicated by the scents and flavors of the Langa.

ALLOCHIS DANILO, CHEF OWNER

"After years of gathering experience wandering around Italy and the world, I chose Piedmont, my homeland, to open my first restaurant, a challenge, far from the spotlight and the hustle and bustle of the city, in a challenging area but rich in resources and exceptional products."

OPENING HOURS The restaurant and wine bar is open Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.; closed Mondays.
