Bossolasco Alpine Group
The Bossolasco Alpine Group is part of the Cuneo Section of the A.N.A.
The group was founded in 1934 by Cav. Di Vittorio Veneto Mr. Giordano Alfonso, who led it until 1979, for a good 45 years, apart from a few years of interval during the Second World War.
In 1979 he passed the baton to his son Luigi, who held it until 1989, the year in which Grosso Riccardo, the current group leader, took over. The Alpine Group participates in various gatherings in neighboring towns and even outside the area, as shown by the photo of the nine Alpine soldiers in red shirts present at the gathering held in Bolzano in May 2012, accompanied by their partners and wives.
During the year, the Alpine Group, given the small size of our town and the lack of manpower, also helps other associations present in the area in various demonstrations and events, for example for the preparation of polenta.
During the year, lunches are periodically organized in rotation in the various refreshment places in the town. Another fixed appointment is the Alpine Rally in our town, which takes place every five years and on this occasion, members of groups from neighboring towns and even from more distant areas converge. The group allocates part of the contributions received for charity, to support long-distance adoption and special cases of need. Some members are also present in the Civil Protection.
